Eligibility & Enrollment

The gugu gang is available to individuals 18 years of age or older. You may enroll by providing your phone number at checkout in our store. One account per phone number is permitted. Enrollment is free.

Earning Points

Points are earned as follows:

• 10 points per $1 spent on qualifying in-store purchases
• 100 points for completing your profile (name, email, birthday)
• 50 points for adding your birthday
• 150 points for leaving a Google review
• 50 points for following us on Instagram

Bonus point actions (profile completion, birthday, review, Instagram) may only be earned once per account.

Redeeming Rewards

Every 500 points may be redeemed for $5 off a future in-store purchase. Rewards are applied at checkout and cannot be exchanged for cash. Rewards may not be combined with other offers unless otherwise stated.

Membership Tiers

Tiers are based on annual spend and reset each calendar year:

• Neighbor ($0–$149/yr) — Base earn rate
• Regular ($150–$499/yr) — 1.25x points, early access to sales
• Local Legend ($500+/yr) — 1.5x points, free gift wrapping, birthday thank-you card

Program Changes & Termination

Gugu Gifts reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the loyalty program at any time with reasonable notice. Points have no cash value and are non-transferable. We may close accounts that we reasonably believe are being used fraudulently.

Consent & Opt-In

By providing your phone number at checkout and joining the gugu gang, you consent to receive SMS messages from Gugu Gifts. Staff inform customers at the time of enrollment that they will receive text messages including point updates, rewards, and offers. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

Types of SMS Messages

• Loyalty point balance updates and earning confirmations
• Reward tier notifications and milestones
• Exclusive offers and promotions for loyalty members
• Birthday rewards and special occasion messages
• Program updates and new benefit announcements

Message Frequency & Rates

Message frequency varies, typically 2–6 messages per month. Frequency may increase during promotional periods or holidays. Message and data rates may apply. Contact your wireless carrier for details about your messaging plan.

Opting Out of SMS

You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message, asking a team member in-store, or emailing gugu@gugugifts.com. After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message. Opting out of SMS does not remove you from the gugu gang — you will continue to earn and hold points.

Newsletter

You may subscribe to our email newsletter by entering your email address on our website. By subscribing, you consent to receive emails about new arrivals, promotions, events, and store updates from Gugu Gifts. Newsletter emails are sent from info@gugugifts.com.

Loyalty Program Emails

If you provide an email address as part of your gugu gang profile, you may receive transactional and program-related emails including welcome messages, reward notifications, tier updates, and birthday greetings.

Email Frequency

Newsletter emails are sent periodically, typically 2–4 times per month. Loyalty program emails are sent based on account activity and events (such as purchases, tier changes, and birthdays).

Opting Out of Email

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by clicking the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any email, or by contacting us at gugu@gugugifts.com. Unsubscribe requests are processed promptly. Unsubscribing from email does not affect your gugu gang membership or SMS preferences.
