Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your gugu gang account is active, which includes any period in which you hold a point balance or unredeemed rewards. Because the loyalty program involves an ongoing accumulation of points and tier status, we maintain your account data for the life of your membership so that your earned benefits are preserved.
Newsletter subscriber data is retained until you unsubscribe.
If you wish to close your loyalty account and have your data deleted, please contact us at gugu@gugugifts.com. Upon account closure, any remaining point balance and unredeemed rewards will be forfeited, and your personal information will be removed within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.
Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Our database uses row-level security policies, encrypted connections, and access is restricted to authorized personnel only. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
