Inside Gugu Gifts: A Photo Tour of Our Terrell Gift Shop
Come On In
Most people find us by accident — they’re walking the Tanger Outlets in Terrell, they see the wordmark, and they wander in “just to look.” Twenty minutes later they’re holding a candle, a card, and a little something for a friend they suddenly remembered. That’s the shop working exactly as intended.
If you haven’t made it in yet, here’s a walk-through of what’s waiting at 301 Tanger Dr, Suite 112.
The Front Counter
The first thing you see is the counter tablescape — a rotating mix of the prettiest things we have in right now. Lately that’s been gold-rimmed porcelain bowls, Govino shatterproof glassware, jars of local Texas honey, and a few seasonal pieces stacked where you can’t miss them. It’s the part of the store that changes the most, so it’s worth a look every time.
The Jewelry Wall
Turn left and you hit the jewelry — and this is where people linger. We run a full slatwall of earrings and necklaces plus a locked gold case for the nicer pieces. Julie Vos anchors the case (the 24K-gold-plate stuff Texans keep choosing), and the Rain spinner holds the more playful, colorful earrings. There’s a mirror right there for a reason: try things on.
The Candle & Home Fragrance Shelf
Deeper in is the home fragrance section — Voluspa and Greenleaf candles, reed diffusers, room sprays, and the little Greenleaf sachets that make a $3 add-on to any gift. Pop a lid, take a sniff, and pick the scent that actually smells like the person you’re buying for.
The Card Spinners & Stationery Corner
We take cards seriously. Between the Cardthartic spinners, the Freshcut pop-up paper flowers, and the everyday birthday and thank-you walls, there’s a card for the exact thing you’re trying to say. Right next to it: colorful fountain pens, Kaweco writing tools, and notebooks for the people on your list who still love good paper.
The Fun Stuff
Toward the back you’ll find the parts that make kids (and a lot of adults) light up — the TY plush tower, Swig tumblers and water bottles, Meri Meri party goods, sunglasses, and a wall of gift bags so you can walk out wrapped and ready.
