Cinco de Mayo 2026 falls on Tuesday, May 5 — which means most of you reading this aren’t planning a Saturday-night blowout. You’re working through it. But there’s still margin in the day for a smart 30-minute mid-week stop, and The Shops at Terrell (still mostly known by its old name, Tanger Outlets Terrell) is the Kaufman County spot for it.

Here’s a quick lunchtime gameplan if you find yourself near I-20 Exit 501 today.

The 30-Minute Loop

12:00 — Park. Free lot, biggest cluster near Nike and the food trucks. Choose anywhere on the main loop and you’re 200 feet from everything.

12:05 — Anchor stop. If you actually need something, hit your one anchor: Old Navy for kids’ uniforms, Levi’s for jeans, Famous Footwear for sneakers. Get in, get out.

12:20 — Lunch. Rocky Mountain Chocolate is a classic detour for a small treat. The center has rotating restaurants and a Hometown Cinema if you’ve got more time than a true 30-minute window.
